A capital campaign for a school like St. Catherine’s is used for infrastructure projects that cannot be funded through the school’s fiscal year budget. Our Time is Now is a $12 million comprehensive campaign to build and renovate our home of the Angels.

A Case for St. Catherine’s
Mother Benedicta opened the doors to St. Catharina’s Female Academy in 1865. From the classroom to the athletic arena, from the stage to the chemistry lab, St. Catherine’s has always provided programs and an environment that prepares young men and women for success.
We will continue our tribute to the Racine Dominican heritage by creating a modernized facility. As students prepare for college, servant leadership, and lifelong learning, they need spaces to balance faith and the demands of technology in an ever-changing world. This capital initiative will advance the mission the Dominicans started long ago.
We have already taken multiple actions to make school improvements with the generosity of over 120 donors and over $3.0 million. In addition to enriching the STEM program, other improvements included tuckpointing, a new roof, and ADA accessible bathrooms. Renovations included the new Bob Letsch Court and sound-absorbing ceiling panels in the McGuire Gymnasium.
The true definition of success in this campaign is when our students can feel the generosity of donors. They will feel that generosity while kneeling in a new chapel to center themselves in the heart of the school. They will feel that generosity when preparing for an athletic event in equally accessible locker rooms. And, they will feel that generosity experiencing the world through a first-floor art wing.
Ensuring our vision for St. Catherine’s will require significant philanthropic support. Our Time is Now is more than a campaign. It is a roadmap for a stronger future at 1200 Park Avenue.
